A color that matters

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and for that I wear a pink ribbon everyday. Knowledge is power and in this case it can also becomes the difference between life and death. Early detection of this desease is the key to fight it from the start with all the available tools, a monthly self breast exam it's easy and should be an habit for every woman.
I could talk and talk about this because I've seen it close to me, the pain, the fight and the survival too but that's a story for another day.

Summary: You don’t know how hard you can fall, until you hit the ground.

In every person there’s a limit, a breaking point that if it’s crossed it can shatters everything, she acknowledged she was on the edge when she put a gun to Peter’s head and pulled the trigger. The moment she realized she had become her worst nightmare.

It was true; you don’t know how hard you can fall, until you hit the ground.

That’s when she started running from all, although she quickly learned that not matter the distance she couldn’t escape her own skin.

Nothing seemed to work, nor bullets or chainsaws, pills, poisons or throwing herself from cliffs, immortality was definitely a disease without a cure. Because afterwards there’s one breathe and then another, death likes to play games with her, another frequent visitor that never stays.

She always liked the pain, soaring and making sure she’s human and also permanently alive, there isn’t an option about that, now she didn’t have the pain either.

Claire went missing on a Tuesday night, he used all the powers he has collected and it still took him 16 Fridays to find her.

Her screams could be heard for miles, an isolated cabin stood between the trees and the permanent snow. Inside, all the furniture was torn, marks of knifes and bullet holes decorating the walls, he thought it was the cruelest scene of a massacre without any casualties.

He never imagined she was capable of this destruction, maybe he didn’t want to believe she was.

Sitting in a bathtub of her own blood, Claire seemed to be extremely small and lost, the vacant look in her eyes will always haunt him. Peter didn’t speak and only managed a teary smile as he picked her up.

Humming an ancient song he wipes the blood from her body, for a second she recalled that he was a professional of taking care of others, and found comfort in knowing that despite everything, he’s still the same man she used to know.

It’s been hours that feel like days, they’re tangled in each other’s arms while he keeps murmuring some type of lullaby; she wonders what morning will bring.

I don’t wanna be myself anymore. It was the first sentence that came of her mouth.

Then let’s be us. He replied crushing his lips to hers and devouring the sigh she was holding and then her hands are keeping him close.

One more time she let herself believe in her in them, and she’s slowly patching up the shreds of her soul.

She presented him a coy smile before she caressed his face and gave him a sweet peck on his rugged neck.

Peter, the only real thing we have it’s time.

In the middle of nowhere, she laid her head on his chest wrapped her arms around him and finally let sleep come. Tomorrow didn’t feel like condemn anymore.

From now on she’ll measure the ages by the constant beating of his heart, nothing else.

Mentions of S1 (this somehow fits in 5YG) and S2 finale.
The title is a quote from one of my favourites movies, ever.
Summary: 5 times Claire should have said I love you and the one she did.

Founding him in a jail cell was a surprise, sitting alone under the bright lights he looks more like a breathing corpse than the man who she owes her life.

There he is, Peter, her superman with a normal human name, who stares at her with a devotion she has only seen in her parent’s eyes. It makes her feel special, worthy of being saved.

It all ends quickly, and she doesn’t have the words or time to thank him.

She wanted to say: I love you without sounding like a school girl with a crush, instead she attempts to look interesting and more mature designating him her own knight in shinning armor: You’re totally my hero.

In this story, she’s not the savior, far from it.

Honestly she tried all she could; she was on the right place at the right time and even manages to hold a gun without shaking, too much.

Peter may be going to become a nuclear bomb and vanish half of the city, but Claire has to draw the line somewhere and there is shooting to death the one she loves.

She wants to shout it to the top of her lungs: I love you! But it’s all lost between Nathan’s final act of heroism and watching both brothers fly into the darkness of the New York sky.

Feels like hours when her knees give up and the tears arrive, he is the light in her existence and she just saw it burning bright.

She forgot how to breathe.

The gunshot that hums through her ears is not loud enough to overpass the scream of his name in her mind: Peter.

She’s in California one moment and many blurry hours later she’s standing in a corridor of Odessa’s hospital inquiring for the victims of a shooting. Turning right on that corner, running to the end of the hallway, and that’s it.

He’s more than the image on a TV or a constant sight in her dreams, Peter is leaning into a wall with his arms crossed over his chest. She takes an instant to relearn his features before their gazes connect.

And she’s finally breathing again, breathing his distinctive scent that makes her body quiver and sobs choke in her throat.

Her adoration is written in her tearful eyes while he places a gentle kiss in her forehead.

Don’t leave me again, she murmurs.

He promises he won’t.

He is the one who said goodbye.

It’s a busy train station in NY, and she already feels someone stole her life away without asking. Her blonde tresses cut and dyed, her whole existence is a bunch of papers hidden in her bag. They gave her another name a different identity to keep her safe; she pretends it’s for the best, this never ending lie.

Claire buries herself in his chest, wiping her tears on the leather of his jacket, cursing whatever deity that rules destinies and carved this for them.

Sweetheart, you have to go. His tone is pleading.

Claire, you’re my weakness, he projects into her mind.

As she dissapears into the crowd, she shouts: You got something right, I’m yours.

The bells jingle on the dinner’s door while she’s wiping the counter.

We’re closed! She yells without lifting her dark head from her task, she’ll go home as soon as she finishes cleaning.

All of a sudden he’s crushing her, almost breaking her ribs in the process, and nothing else exists but her confusion and his pain.

I can’t fix it, I tried and tried, I just can’t. It’s all she can understand between his ragged breathing and angry hot tears. Peter is her hero, and he comes to her to mend what’s left of his shattered soul, she can’t fail him.

Cradling his broken body like a child, she kisses every tear away, taking her time, one by one.

It’s gonna be ok, I’m here, it’s going to be ok, she repeats like a prayer.

And he believes her.

He was the most wanted criminal in the country, that didn’t mean he was hard to find, if you know where to look, and she knows him more than anyone.

This day it’s her prize she repeats to herself to give her confidence; she earned it somehow, a time stolen in their benefit.

They don’t talk; the atmosphere is electric, she closes the distance between the door and his arms in 3 steps finding no confusion in his golden irises.

He kisses her senseless, until she’s gasping for air and burning for his touch. It’s everything and nothing like she imagined, there’s no shyness or doubt in their movements, they fit like the two halves of the whole they are.

She tastes every inch of his body amazed of the softness of his skin compared with the power beneath his muscles. He licks and bites her neck in her most sensitive spot, and she swears nothing’s ever felt this right.

Morning comes and Peter’s sleeping form adorns the bed they shared, a lazy smile in his face, that’s the last thing she’ll take from him, a memory.

And she does what she came to do, before walking away, a whisper in his ear: I love you.

Her hearts breaks a little bit more with every step that separates her from him, by his threshold there’s too much pieces and she wonders if she will have the strength to sew them back.

She’ll say yes to Andy and never look back, she loves Peter that much.

She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath; it’s another hotel in a city whose name she won’t remember anyway. She picks up her phone and dials without looking.

Hey.

Hi babe, how’s going?

Good and busy, too busy probably. The kids?

They’re sleeping right beside me, they wanted to wait for your call, I can wake them up if you want.

Don’t, I’ll call them in the morning before they leave for school. Jen has that big dissertation tomorrow, I’ll like to wish her luck. She let’s out a long sigh on her cell.

You sound exhausted and I’m the one handling my job and the house by myself.

What can I say I’m tired Jake, I promised Mia a week and it’s only been 4 days, 7 hours and… a lot of minutes.

He laughs on the line, something comfortable that makes her miss her home even more.

Someone has been counting the minutes?

What can I say I miss my bed.

Your bed is kind of full these days, one blonde left and there’s 2 sleeping blondes to keep me company.

Only 2? I was expecting your whole fan club bursting through our door demanding your attention. Who knows what happens when the Mrs. is gone.

He can see her pouting over the line, one hand on the phone; the other is twisting one of her endless curls.

You know the usual, it’s party central here, all the strippers come and I provide the buzz, don’t worry it’s not illegal per se. She yawns.

You should sleep babe, you need to rest.

I think I’m too old for this rockstar life, I cannot keep up with the traveling, the concerts and the media, it never stops.

Don’t whine Peyt, you know you love it.

But I love being your wife more.

I won’t disagree with that, at all. We miss you here, I can’t manage to make Ellie’s pigtails right. She can’t stop feeling more homesick imagining her youngest complaining about her crooked braids.

I’ll be home soon and you’ll be relieved of your hair’s duties.

I can’t wait. I love you.

She closes her phone and tries to find comfort in the lonely bed, she notices that all the time she has been playing with her wedding ring, an odd habit that appears every time they’re apart.
She realizes why she couldn’t sleep before calling home, it his voice the only thing that keeps her warm at nights.

Summary: Peter is tired of passing through lives and not living them.

The first years are the ones Peter remembers the most, maybe because they were the ones that counted the most. It was in those moments that he loved enough to remember: The laughter of his nephews, the tender look in his brother’s eye, the breeze in Claire’s curls. He can see them perfectly in his mind, the people and the places that made him happy, the memories inked deep in his immortal soul is the only baggage that stays.

Centuries crossed his face without a blink of his eye, more people, less places, the rise and falls of nations and powers, one Armageddon and then another, nothing slows down. He watches mostly, the wars between the normal people and the evolved ones like him, almost everyone disappears, and then starts again.

It all becomes a blur after a couple of millenniums, there’s always pain somewhere and he’s too tired or bored to care. Nothing seems to stay, he can’t distinguish faces or moments, he can’t find silence anywhere.

He walks alone never concerned about the destination, he just used to never stopping, not staying enough to pay attention, until now. Peter have seen that same corner in 37 different forms, rebuilt in different styles and materials, what takes his breath away is the petite girl staring back at him.

Time slows down, he can count every single step from where he’s standing to where Claire is because he knows that every one of them matters.

They meet in the middle, he cradles her body as close as he can, fearing she’ll dissolve into thin air; they let out the sigh they have been holding for too long.

A hint of a smile appears in her teary eyed face when she combs his bangs out of his face, the familiar touch sends shivers to his spine. Their lips collide and there’s nobody in the world but them buried in an embrace.

Finally Peter does what’s meant to do, he takes her hand and leads the way.

And that’s how it begins, the golden ages.

land in between

You know a lot about me but nothing about where I live, the country that's almost falling from South America and that has a population of barely over 16 million.

We are a long and thin piece of land surrounded by the Pacific sea on one side and Los Andes mountains by the other. Our country it's so long it has very different climates/weathers, we have desert on the north side, then mediterranian in the middle, tropical in Easter Island, rainy and cold on the south and finally we have polar in the Antartic.

The diversity of flora and fauna we have it's inmense, also the distance between the coast and the montains it's less than 250 miles in the widest section of the country. In other words you could go skiing and then to the beach in only one day.

I don't want to sound like I'm selling you how beautiful my homeland is but I truly believe we had amazing sights considering how small is. Check it out for yourself (I didn't take any of these pics):

North to South:

Chungara Lake and Parinacota volcano, almost in the border with Bolivia is one of the hightest lakes in the world. (4570m)

Altiplano (high plateau)

Isluga, Andean town on the high plateau. This is their most characteristic church.

Atacama desert (driest in the world), this is Moon's valley.

Pan de Azucar National Park.

Elqui's Valley.

Valparaiso, most famous port in our central zone, also has unique houses .

Vineyards on the central valley, this is pretty close to where I was raised :D

heart's desire

I don't know how I've never written anything about them, I should dedicate them an essay or something, the TV couple that won my heart and then introduced me to the world of FF and LJ (the whole story here). This was the 1st couple I really shipped and that allowed me to meet fantastic friends who I treasure with my life. Jake and Peyton (One Tree Hill) are more than a ship for me, til this day I honor them with my LJ header, I think that's devotion. They had made me smile, cry and even take my breath away, their chemistry it's undeniable.

They evolved quietly from friends, more like acquaintances, they run the same circles and had nothing in common. He was a basketball player and she was a cheerleader, let me say you this: you can't label this two, they will surprise you.

Jake is the sweetest man on the face of the earth, perfectly portraited by Bryan Greenberg, he is a teenage dad struggling to stay in high school while he raises his baby daughter. He's charming, funny, responsable, wise beyond his years and completely dedicated to Jenny. He's a musician too, in his spare hours he sings and composes.
Peyton (Hilarie Burton), she's my favourite character from OTH, is a stunning blonde who express herself through art and her love for music. She's a troubled teenager, complex and full of angst, had a hard time in life, her mother died and her father is away for work. She feels misunderstood and out of place, like nobody can see the real Peyton inside, til Jake comes along and silently became a part of her world.

There is this crucial moment in every JP shipper, Jimmy Eat World's 23 is loud and enchanting and Peyton is going to make an awful mistake because she feels alone and desperate and thinks she'll solve all of that with drugs. A shadow appears, a person is walking towards her, you can see hope in her features, the camera moves and Jake is standing there looking determinated (and sexy as hell I might add). I swear when she says his name, there's surprise and delight on her tone. The episode ends, and when the next one starts Peyton tells the drug dealer to leave and inmediately launchs herself to Jake's arms with such desperation and relief, they don't realize it's raining.
Honestly I think I hold my breath through the whole scene, wishing it was him and when I saw him I screamed and cried. (watch the vid)

He helped her being herself, gave her balance and calm among the chaos, he is like a constant force that's helping her deal with her problems without solving them. He puts her back on track on being the amazing person she is, his mere presence makes everything that's suffocating her suddenly stop. He believes in her, trusts her and mostly loves her.
She returned his faith in people and in love itself, reminding his he's a father but also a man. She makes him wants to be more and truly find happiness, something he once thought wasn't allowed for him.
You can actually know in which scenes Jake and Peyton are together just by the smiles in their faces, or the glint in their eyes, they light up in each other presences.

Jake has Jenny and that could be a problem for some girls, but for Peyton is another reason to love him. She adores the little girl, probably sees some of herself in her, regrets she'll grow up without a mom like her. She'll do anything for her, the innocent baby girl who stole her heart before her dad. Jenny bonded them more, they built for a little time a family, the 3 of them became an unit.

In my opinion what they have is not teenage love, it's the real thing, their story is not your usual fairy tale. Jake left her twice without intentions of coming back and now he lives in another city, they broke each other's hearts more times that I want to remember and their love don't falter. They have travelled from one place to another through 3 seasons of OTH and still make me believe there's a future for them, someday.

I love everything about them, I could stare at them for hours, they're beautiful. They're apart and probably never be a couple again, but I'm not giving up on them because they're meant to be, there's no doubt in my mind.

A/N: Unbetaed and needs a lot of polishing.

They have walked a long way, she was a living person instead of a scaring image on a painting. Mohinder is intrigued by her, in a scientific and personal point of view; Claire is a contradiction in a petite body; she’s all honey and adorable Texan drawl built in steel. Bursted into Peter’s life without announcement and became part of their group of misfits effortlessly, grew up to be a sister in arms.

There're some experiences in life not suitable for everybody, he knows he’ll never forget that this girl buried her family with her own hands.

She’s too young to be part of this war, she should be in college, discussing about classes, flirting in parties and complaining about annoying professors. Mohinder’s heart constrict when he watches her with Molly, barely years apart, one is still a girl and the other… he regrets he can’t make it easier for her, she ought to have a chance to be whatever she dreams. If they change the world, he’ll make sure of that.

He has confronted Peter about allowing her to do missions: she’s your family Peter, she’s all you have! how can you let her risk herself like this? He wouldn’t let Molly being near anything potentially dangerous, he knows he’ll go to hell to keep her safe.

Peter chuckles: Don’t let her hear you talking like that. You know, there’s no way she’s staying behind. There’s pride mixed in his statement and he can’t understand why.

Worried sick, described his situation, Nikki, Hiro and Ando were supposed to meet him there 30 minutes prior, the bitter taste on his mouth burned deep and made him discover Peter and him are equals, both willing to send their family into danger, blood is a lost concept for them. The relief he feels when later on the 3 of them materialize in the corner almost knocked him of his feet.

Mohinder recognizes the glint in her eyes when he walks through the door, and knows Peter must be there too, she brighten up on his presence.

She smiles like she’s hiding a secret, dances around the apartment when she’s cleaning and rolls her eyes like any teenager; still Peter looks at her thinking the sun comes out just in her request. It’s obvious to all of them that she thinks the world rotates because of him, that’s who they are.

They play like children, talk without words and fight like lovers, Mohinder smirks because that’s normal for Peter and Claire, they’re entitled to have a life.

Every movie night ends exactly the same, popcorn in the floor and quiet goodbyes to not disturb the snoring couple. Claire looks like any other teenager, asleep on the couch comfortably trapped in Peter’s body, he wishes them pleasantry dreams on his way out, he knows this will be a peaceful night for them.

Claire has seen more than she should and broke her soul and fixed it up again more times than she can remember, or maybe that she is willing to recall.

She’s too young for all of that, they all know it, but when she’s a bloody mess in the pouring rain clinging to Peter’s chest and imploring him to breathe, nobody speaks or judges.

She’s not that young to know what love is.

Brand new year

2008 started hours ago with the promise of new challenges and moments to share. I hope you all had a great day, personally I'm complaining about the heat, the lack of sleep and having a major movie marathon with my sis because everything is closed today. Last night I had lots and lots of chinese takeout and bottles of champaigne and then went to a party on a friend's house.

How was yours? Regretting last night or have a great story to tell?

Honoring my 25th bday in almost 2 weeks more,I'll make an entry a day, this is the beginning of a entry-thon (or something). Covering almost everything about my life (friends, crazy family, music, books, including fandom), I have some ideas about what to talk about but it would be helpful if you could help me out finding more topics, things you want to know or find interesting, also you could give me prompts for drabbles. I'm open to any ideas, I'm planning on at least an entry a day, could be more depending on my schedule.

Sorry! I know it's a day late but I haven't been home since Thursday.

Angela Petrelli is on the Children’s Hospital board, of course she is.

When the holidays begin is her who is orchestrating fundraises and parties to help the children, she apparently cares so much. Every detail must be supervised by her, and when the man who was supposed to be Santa broke an arm and leg hours before delivering the presents for the kids, she brings on the family guilt.

Nathan was currently on Washington with an enormous case and couldn’t leave a hearing just to please his mother, that didn’t stop her from trying.

Her only option was her youngest, and that one was a handful.

He surprised her with only one condition, if he was going to be Santa, then Claire was going to be his elf. That got him both women’s glare.

Peter was charming with every children, completely in character, talking with them and whispering things that made them laugh. Claire by his side, entertained everybody else while helped with the gifts.

Afterwards, she found a trail of red and green clothes, Christmas costumes actually, that leaded her across the corridor to an examination room. She didn’t need to open the door to know what was going on inside, the sound of things crashing, groans, swears and high pitched giggles.

Wanna ride Santa’s sleigh?!

Angela gritted her teeth trying to compose herself, and left the hallway in a hurry.

Next year she’ll hire two Santas to be sure, family couldn’t be trust to maintain a proper image.

A/N: without a beta and written in 20 minutes for the Snowfall prompt at 12daysofpaire, you'll have to excuse all the errors!

It’s his mission to save her, being her hero includes all kinds of rescue like liberating her from his mother’s claws who got her secluded to the mansion like a prisoner.

Peter showed up with a whole afternoon planned, maps and notes under his arm with all the information a tourist needs to appreciate New York’s highlights, he even offered her a shopping guide with all the stores any girl would love to see.

She decided she wanted to witness the city through his eyes, she can always visit the tourist’s spots by herself, she would like to view his places the ones that means something to him.

They walked all the streets that made his life: the jungle park where he fell and Nathan had to take him to the ER, the corner that lead to his high school and where he got his heart broken the first time, his college buildings and his usual record store. The coffee shop where he worked a summer just to piss off his parents, the bookstore he used to hang up with his friends.

Immersed in a jacket slightly big for her frame, she followed his lead all through his stories and fondest memories, reliving moments, laughing when he told her a funny or embarrassing thing and comforting when he recalled his sorrows. Claire also talked about herself, growing up on Texas, having Lyle as a little brother, when she found up she was adopted. They shared everything they could, such complete honesty shocked them both.

They strolled comfortably in Central Park, it was getting colder and they should return but for them sounded impossible to end this day and broke the spell they created around them.

She said she’ll never get used to how freezing NY is in the winter, he smiled and took a lock from her face while snowflakes started falling, delicate and ephemeral, tangling in their clothes and hair.

A/N: Un betaed! Written for the I'll be home for Xmas prompt a 12daysofpaire.
Spoilers: S2, well my own version of S2, Peter was in Ireland at the beginning of December.

Days turned into weeks and he was still missing, she gazed at the skies and searched for a miracle in every star.

Claire knew that Christmas was going to hurt the most, it was the time you are supposed to share with the ones you love. They should be together for the holidays, arguing about who was going to fly to the other, him of course, she chuckled at the thought, that was a fight that even in her mind she wouldn’t lose.

There was no need to get him a present; she really wanted to, something suitable to a hero, her hero.

A soft cashmere scarf between her fingers, the salesgirl said it was caramel while she pictured him wearing it tight against his neck, thinking of her in a NY street.

She bought it, Peter saved her life and she was keeping him from the cold, hysterical.

Hours later she laughed remembering their funniest talk, running of the city they managed to discuss him wearing a superhero costume, cape and all.

Spent afternoons scanning comic books and changing them until they resemble him, long black bangs and soulful eyes. The story of guy who was a male nurse by day and a superhero by night and between shifts, an instant hit in her opinion.

She only wanted to see him laugh, a full honest chuckle as her reward.

Almost Christmas and she wondered if his gifts would end up gathering dust in her closet.

The soft glow of tree lights over every surface, the combined smell of pine and cookies, carefully picked gifts lying under their tree waiting for their family, the one they built in only a couple of years.

Last Christmas she would have never imagine, she would be here today, resting comfortably in bed over her boyfriend’s naked body.

Claire stared into his eyes for a moment, amazed of how lucky they were.

Everything ok, love? His face looked preoccupied while his kiss lingered on her forehead.

She gave him a nod: Yeah, I think it can’t be more perfect than this.

In the blink of an eye, a fireplace appeared on their bedroom wall filling the space with warmth.

Everybody has tried to reach you: emails, PMs and LJ entries, nothing has worked. At this point, I'm sick of worry and praying that you're alright. Don't know if something happened in RL or you just got sick of LJ and fandom stuff, all I can think is that you're gone and it's been hard.
Since the moment I met you, you brighten up my days with your comments and fanfics, we connected through fandom and slowly became friends, sharing a lot about our lives. Often people think that LJ friends are not the same as the ones we usually have around, they're different but not less important, it's true what they say you don't realize how much you care til you loose someone.
Yesterday I was picking up chinese food when I noticed the man beside me had a star tattoo on his forearm, it was so similar to yours... made me miss you even more.

Today it's a strange day.

I wasn't born for September 11th 1973, the day democracy died here, 34 years since the armed forces took over the goverment, and it's still an open wound in my homeland's heart. We had a militar regime for 17 years, we had Pinochet as a dictator for so long, it's scary, so many people are still missing and the ones who were tortured. It was a difficult time, a troubled one but the means were so extreme, there's no valid excuse for all the pain and punishment thousands of people suffered for simply expressing their opinions, for being different or acting in oposition. To differ... was a crime. Can you imagine that? In my case, I can't forget, this is our past, our errors and in some way the mess we inherited to change.

My country it's so marked with that day, still lingers in all of us.

Last december I met Lena and somehow we ended talking about 1989-1990 when we became a democracy again, the effervescence of that moment and all the consequences of still being a generation raised in a dictatory regimen. How things were and how they changed for the better, freedom as I know it now has been a permanent struggle for my parent's generation and the ones that follow. I was blessed for being born on the last term of the regime, my friends didn't disappeared or were tortured, my liberties weren't stolen or constricted, I was a happy ignorant child that didn't understand life had much more freedom than the one I knew. The legacy I gained was a fractured country, were sides and positions about the need of a militar intervention on the socialist democracy of Salvador Allende.
Was Pinochet a saint or a devil?, when the force stops in name of the reason, whose reason? Lena and I discussed a lot, it was emotional and sincere, putting all my hopes and views on the matter. Pinochet died a day later, and I celebrated and cried, this was a step forward, maybe the wound in all of us will heal, maybe we'll forgive or understand.

I don't know if it ends with me, the feelings and disagreements run so deep inside of us, is there's a way we can overcome what happened? God I hope we can, I'm a idealist, I studied law because I believe in the power of changing the future through democratic acts, expressing the people's voice is an alternative. Someone said: when there's a will, there's a way. I pray for getting that knowledge. I'm proud of being chilean and everytime I cast my vote, I take a deep breath because this a priviledge, this simple act it's a work in progress.

September 11th 2001, I was with a fever at home, it was 7am when I started watching TV because I couldn't sleep, of boredom I started watching the news. I can tell you what PJs I was wearing and how I couldn't eat anything that day. I watched every single minute in BBC and CNN while I translated to my maid who thought the world was ending.
My best friend was sick too (she had mono), I can remember clearly her frightened tone over the phone: Please tell me you're watching the TV.... we stayed over the phone for hours, most of the times just breathing and praying, a mix of hails marys and our fathers (in spanish and english) that would have made Sister John Mary so proud. Her uncle was on NY that day on business trip, we heard from him the next day and he was safe.

I've never been in NY, not even in the US but that day touched us, connected by grief and tears, the whole world changed and suffered that day.

What I'm trying to say is that is 11 everywhere or 3 or 29, days that mark people's lifes, sometimes bigger, sometimes smaller, but people keep being killed in every corner of the world and we don't recognize it. Accepting differences and embracing them is what's going to save us all of remembering dates with grief, there's no effort in loving the ones who think exactly like us, the effort resides in understand diversity in every aspect of life, disagreeing is not a bad thing, with the difference of points of views comes debate and in the end: compromise, a way of saying we're different but we accept this and work with that.

To all of you, there's beauty in diversity, you just need to take a minute to see it. A minute.

Save the cheerleader, save my world

Life is like all the TV shows combined and much more, but in TV when things get bad you can always turn the TV off or throw shoes when you don't like what's happening (in every leyton scene *eww*), the magic of being somewhere else for an hour and get your own life on hold while you enjoy the adventures of fictional people.
I watch a lot of TV and I'm a devoted fan, I've cried and laughed all my life along shows and even more I remember days because of episodes and it should be the other way around.

I started watching Heroes way too late *mental slap*, I saw 19 eppies on a week and it was a memorable experience, I was in Heroes high for days I even dreamed about it, yeah I'm that obsessive.
The whole concept of the story it's really attractive, how genetics can evolve in time, normal people showing abilities is not such a crazy thing if we remember we use only the 10% of our brain capacities and all the hard work it would be understanding this abilities and embrace them. The development of characters on the show is stunning, and the characters themselves are sofisticated and complex you can always find one to relate to, the idea of differents stories that have nothing in common and how they start mixing and colliding, the unexpected twists, the secrets and the basic hope, WOW! I love it!!!
I believe "Five Years Gone", is until now the most breathtaking episode I've ever watched in a show, because even if I've loved others show for more emotional reasons, this episode was a complete separate world for itself, there's no way you can compare it to anything, the progress of the characters in this dark version of the future, the desperation and fear on the population, it was a total nightmare, this was the world we have to prevent! And scarred future Peter going all powerful Neo-like with the long black coat, killed me *drool*
I haven't been excited about a show since the good old days of OTH S2 when Jake was with Peyton. I think the cast did a fantastic job through all the season, the actors are great, even the bad ones you end up liking them because they're awesome being bad, applauses to Sylar, the villan we all love to hate and admit it psicopaths are fun on TV.
And since I saw "Homecoming" I became a Paire shipper *ducks from the flying tomatoes and insults* yes it's true, I ship them all the way, related (I tend to deny that little fact) or not, I don't care she's too young for him (age is just a number!), because the chemistry it's so powerful you can't stop staring and how they interact on screen (my love for Milo only grew after watching him as Peter and I discover Hayden). Just look at them, the tender gestures, the eye-sex, the complete trust, it screams: I love you so much it's hard to breathe! What's wrong with rooting for forbidden love? Star-crossed lovers are always the most passionate stories to tell, and angst too. You all know I love fanfiction and you can't imagine how many fantastic Paire stories around, a lot of them are AU and wow, it hasn't been a while since I read stories this quality only on The West Wing fanfiction were writers where usually older and with degrees somehow related to writing I've seen such talent.
Season finale aired some hours ago and I'm downloading it now... I can't even imagine what Mr Kring has prepared for us now.

I watched GG finale, and yeah I felt that thing in your throat when you want to cry, because it was goodbye, 7 years of gilmore crazyness of looking at Lorelai and thinking she's a role model for me. My sis and I hated the fact that Rory and Logan didn't end up together, we agree on that they shouldn't marry now but they could have work it out somehow, it's sad to see them apart, we thought the were good for the other. The finale had that old Gilmore feeling, the quick phrases, the pop culture reference, the crazynes of Stars Hollow and that awesome feeling of belonging to a place, it was bittersweet. I like the last scene, the 2 girls drinking coffee at Luke's a sweet way of saying goodbye.

OTH almost lost me as a fan, I saw 416 and 417, I still adore Peyton, she totally rules and the idea of a road trip made me smile all the time and of course Chris Keller it's hilarious (I'm so sure our idea of a JP spinoff would have rocked) The only thing I like is that right now BP back!!! *yay* Their friendship was always something precious to me on the show, 2 complete different girls became the bestest of friends, closest than sisters, in 416 watching them fight Derek with all they got was great, they're strong and determinated women and I love to see them act like fighters, they're not victims, not anymore. I read we're getting a S5, and it's 4 years in the future, that could be good, a way to Mark to reinvent all and start from scratch, I think it could work and hopefully Mark we'll remind us why we used to love this show so much, and for me it starts with Peyton being her old strong self and of course with Jake and Jenny by her side ;) That's how it should be...

Lost, that show it's so addictive an the last eppie, made me AWWW so many times! Since the beginning all I could think was this is High Fidelity (lost style of course) this are Charlie's top 5! It was so sad, I'll cry if he dies and I bet he will, at least he got to kiss Claire and left his family ring to Aaron, every scene between the little family made me so sad (and of course reminds me of Jake, Jenny and Peyton). I'm still unsure about how I feel about Jack, he was one of my favorites and now (and I believe this is all because I hate Juliet so much) I don't know if I trust him enough to be the "leader". I can't wat for the season finale, I have to say it, even when it's bad I can't stop watching this show... but I don't know if I'll watch 3 more season of it, I think it's too much.

I haven't ever been in Virginia not even in the USA, but it does not matters today. I assume you've all have watched the news and read about Virginia Tech University shooting yesterday, 32 students lost their lifes and we don't even know why, we can begin to imagine why.
This world is freaking scary sometimes, we look around and see so much rage and despair, the unthinkable becomes reality and our darkest nightmares are some people's life.
This is not the first time we watch something as horrible as this happens: it's Beslan, Collumbine, Erfurt, Freising, Dawson College and Ecole Polytechnique only some of the places I remember, guns in schools and colleges, panic instead of knowledge.
We've lost so much on the way, is another people life's meaningless, WORTHLESS?
In which second does a person decides he/she can take someone's life, fire a gun and continue shooting til no one else moves, til nobody else breathes?
Who gave him/her the power to decide people's fates? Who are they?, please somebody tell me who are playing God this days, armed and on the loose.
Think for one moment how easy is in your homeland to own a gun, in a lot of countries you can buy an arm as easy as you were buying groseries, if we ever want this to stop we have to have big obstacles for people to obtain a gun because today and every other horrible day shows us the danger we're exposed. If is that easy to posses a gun it may be that easy to take it and pull the trigger, we need a strict gun policy, we deserve better laws and someone enforcing them like it should, we shouldn't live with this fear of being a human target.
Maybe we can't do anything to change this, but we can condenm and remember this can't happen again because is our job to speak and don't forget, I can't believe I have mental list of days and places writen in blood, I'm adding another to the list while my faith in humankind trembles again.
32 students woke up yesterday's morning on an ordinary day and they aren't going to return to class tomorrow, or any day, it wasn't such an ordinary day after all.

reopening the club

Sometime ago (almost a year) I joined a new OTH Music Board called TRIC because the managers of it asked me to be a Mod (the term there is Bouncer) and I was so honored and excited about it, with time the board slowed down and for a moment I thought it was the end of it... :(
But NO!!! The managers contacted me again a couple of days ago and we're back to business!!! *yay*

October, my kind of month

If I wasn't already in love with him, well now I am...

Can he be anymore perfect? *sigh*
As you can imagine, I watched October Road this afternoon with my usual TV sidekick, my lil sis, and from the first scene I was completely hooked with this show. I knew Bryan was in it and that was enough for me at first, but it's really good, the characters and the plot are interesting, the music was awesome (I was singing along all the time) and Bryan looks so gorgeous, totally drool worthy.

The scene of all the friends pretending to be a rock band, was histerical, one of my favorite moments, that's something funny and stupid you can do with your friends. And art imitates life all the time, I have a picture of my friends being goofy and doing exactly the same and I love that pic, makes me smile every time.

The idea of coming home after 10 years, it's fascinating and scary as hell, quoting Pablo Neruda: We, of that time, are no longer the same. And that's a truth, you can't leave everything behind and expect nothing has change, you'll have to remember time changes us all, and what was built in the past needs work to stay standing. I want to see how they rediscover themselves, does friendship survives 10 years and a book later? Can they open their town and hearts to Nick again?

Bryan is an outstanding actor, I did my best to judge his performance all through the eppie, we all know that was hard because I would kiss the floor where he walks, but he impressed me, he has grown even more than I expected, he's more mature and his facial expressions are beliavable and priceless.

I can't stop myself... Nick walking through the streets of NY with that coat almost killed me *drool* , he looks too good for words, should be illegal to that hot, I bet somewher it is! *lmao*

If the rest of the show is as good as this eppie, Bryan is going to be on our TV's for a long time, and I don't have a problem with that not one at all...
